Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum

Our client is looking for a forward thinking and dynamic qualified accountant to take on a developmental role within a progressive public sector organisation.

They have recently set up a stand alone company to take responsibility for one element of the community service within the Stockport area.  The successful candidate will be expected to initiate and oversee all performance and financial management information systems related to the organisation.

The role would suit a qualified and ambitious candidate who would take part in a structured development programme for promotion above the advertised salary scale. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary high performance team.

Responsibilities will include:

1. -         taking the lead on developing a company financial strategy
2. -         identifying efficiency savings and establishing a range of performance and financial systems
3. -         establishing intelligence on service utilisation, benchmarking practices and performance analysis
4. -         taking the lead on annual budget setting, incentive setting and in monitoring
5. -         provision of support to practices for all issues relating to budget and performance
