Description:
Based with easy access of Rochdale, Oldham, Ashton and Manchester our client a major retail group is looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join its busy but professional team of Credit Controllers / Account Managers.
Responsible for the day to day management of your own portfolio of accounts a major aspect of this role will be your ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with Suppliers and Customers.
More specifically the duties will include;
- Credit Control by telephone and letter - dealing with and resolving queries that are preventing payment of outstanding debts
- Liaising internally with departments and managers to resolve supplier queries
- Opening new accounts and setting Credit Limits
- Making decisions re placing accounts on stop and escalating collection issues to the Credit Manager.
This is a very varied role based within a hectic department - you need to be a robust individual who is prepared to think on their feet and make decisions both individually and as part of a team.
Our client operates a shift system were you can either finish work at 4.00pm or 5.15pm. They also offer a generous benefits and bonus system.
